Resourse Guardianship nine weeks!

In this past two weeks I've gained a lot of knowledge in RG.On the first day we went to the koppies and Kobus told us about the History of South Africa which was very interesting. We talked about the Khoi,San and how it happened that they started to merge and then became the Khoisan.

The next day we went to the bicycle trails to prepare it for the Mountain bike race which occurred on Saturday the 23rd.There are eight of us in the whole group,we were divided into smaller groups and each group had a Team leader (2nd year). We used pangas, slashers, rakes and an axe.We decided that boys and girls were equal so both did the same job. I even worked with the axe which was actually not that bad,but besides the scars and injuries I really enjoyed the preparation of the trails!

On the 19th Me,Bianca,Bronwyn and Marinda went to Benita to help with the preparations on the envelopes of each racer. Each envelope consists of a; Race number,a time tag, two cable ties and a wine voucher if requested. On Friday we had to register each racer and explain to each racer what is in the envelope then we had to tell the about the goody bag.On Sunday we worked at the farm yard and I had to walk Shannon,I walked the horse for about two and a half hours and only found out afterwords that we only need to do this for an hour but at least we made good money!

Unit standards,Blog,SWOT and Logbook:
Kobus taught us how to unpack a unit standard,so straight after he explained it to us we started immediately. Each day we have to do one of the 30.
Every Tuesday we get the opportunity to come to the resource center to do some blogging and get research if it's needed.

After each work day we have to write a SWOT on our day and have to talk about our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of our day. With the SWOT we have to hand in a report.

This week I've experienced a lot of hard work,I've learned how to work with difficult customers and how to work in a certain amount of time to get things done because there's something next on our "list"
